Taylor English Enhances Corporate Capabilities in Chicago with the Addition of Partner Tim Onufrock

Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Tim Onufrock as a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department in Chicago, where he serves as a trusted and pragmatic advisor to a variety of businesses and entrepreneurs in guiding the growth, strategic planning and protection of their businesses. Onufrock is a member of the firm’s newly launched fractional general counsel practice, t|e General Counsel.

Onufrock has 25 years of experience serving in in-house counsel leadership roles for a variety of companies, including a large family office, asset management companies, ETF and alternative investment sponsors, fintech and healthcare technology start-ups. He has extensive experience in private fund formation and offshore investment vehicles. While working for a family office, he guided them in over $500MM in transactions, their corporate governance, and trust and estate planning, positioning him to advise both closely held and family owned businesses in their day-to-day and long-range planning and needs.

At Taylor English, he will continue to work directly with CEOs and boards of directors on high profile, strategic projects and transactions, including mergers & acquisition activities, divestitures, joint ventures, exclusive selling and distribution agreements, and intellectual property protection and transactions. He counsels his clients on daily operating issues including executive employment, restrictive covenant and other employment matters; represents them through capital raises, both equity and debt, including  compliance and privacy matters; and regularly negotiates and documents complex commercial contracts on clients’ behalf.

In addition, Onufrock advises on structuring and restructuring transactions for domestic and international privately held companies. Onufrock regularly drafts and negotiates shareholder, buy-sell, vendor, and non-disclosure agreements. His practice also covers wide breadth of commercial real estate issues and transactions including commercial real estate acquisition, financing, development, leasing, management and disposition, and litigation.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College and his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.
