t|e General Counsel Announces Addition of Overland Park, Kansas Partner

(July 11, 2023) – t|e General Counsel, the fractional general counsel practice of Taylor English Duma LLP, announced the addition of Purvi Shah in Overland Park, Kansas. Shah joins as a partner and will provide general counsel advice; develop and execute legal and business strategies; and guide businesses regarding their strategic decisions, plans and overall direction.

Shah has extensive experience assisting clients with corporate, commercial transactions, restructuring, litigation, real estate and construction matters. She is strategic in her approach, recognizing that contract management, negotiations, and managing business legal issues can be handled both efficiently and effectively. Shah also has worked in identifying and assessing risks for companies, drafted and negotiated a variety of commercial agreements, as well as assisted with SEC reporting, corporate governance, and stockholder meeting matters.

Prior to joining t|e General Counsel, Shah served as in-house counsel for multiple companies, including Blueground, Minuteman Press of Overland Park South, Yellow Corporation, and BlueScope Buildings North America Inc. In these roles, she gained valuable experience guiding organizations through the various stages of commercial transactions; providing advice and counsel; and developing, maintaining, and implementing the company’s corporate governance policies and compliance programs.

Shah received her BS from the University of Kansas and her MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She earned her JD and LLM in Tax from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
